I am a Utility Safety Professional who is slowly moving towards the retirement and travel phase of life. Safety Bo Coaching & Consulting LLC provides me an opportunity to continue to utilize my safety education and utility construction experience to assist companies with improving their safety culture through improved programs, training, outside eyes hazard assessments, and coaching safety folks and field workers.  

My safety experience and credibility in the field, with the workers or in a courtroom, comes from being a lineman, line supervisor, obtaining a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA), becoming a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) as well as a Certified Utility Safety Professional (CUSP) 

After growing up twisting a wrench in various truck garages, I landed in the utility world as a truck mechanic & hydraulic specialist for Massachusetts electric in 1987 prior to becoming National Grid. Once in the union, I was able to bid into the line department and begin my apprenticeship and top out as a journeyman line worker around New England. I then went to school nights and obtained my degrees and credentials. 

This naturally progressed to an Overhead supervisor role and eventually a safety role following an unfortunate event that required my assistance in the safety department. This role progressed to the safety manager of all departments in NE and NY including the safety oversite of contractors as they made their roads into the utility world as they are now today. These contractor relationships allowed me the inroads to join and grow with one of the larger utility contractors over the next 10 years until I left the position of Vice President of safety to slow down the pace and begin this LLC venture on my own.
